Program for January Meeting

"Quilt Show Boutique Night"

We have 4 guild members who will be hosting tables for you to make either personal organizers, fabric pumpkin, paper beads and beaded items.  See the newsletter for supply lists.

If you have items that you are working on for the boutique, bring them along to work on.

An all day sew-in is scheduled.  The doors open at 9:00 a.m. and we sew up until the meeting starts. 

2012 Guild Membership

Dues are payable beginning Sunday, January 1, 2012 with the last date for payment being receive or postmarked by Thursday, March 1, 2012.

Make your check payable to Berks Quilters Guild.  Pay your dues at the meeting or mail you dues to:  Joanne Franklin.  See your membership directory for Joanne's address.

Block of the Month

The January block is actually the December block which has been extended into the new year since busy quilters did not have time to make one prior to the December meeting.  Check the previous newsletter for the pretty red, green and off-white star.

 Funtastic Fat Quarters

Bring a fat quarter (22" x 18") in the "color" of the month and enter your name to win them all!

Items Needed!

Donations for Camp Boggy Creek - The mission of this camp is to enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life-threatening illness.  Do you own fabric that you wonder "What was I thinking!!!".  What to do with the left over scraps of material that clutter your sewing room, or the snippets of left over yarn that you might never think of using?  Please donate to this great cause.  Bring these items to the January and February meeting and give them to Elise Reif.

Crazy Quilt Collection - I am collecting items to be used for crazy quilting; buttons, beads, lace, trim, charms, floss, glitzy fabric and such!  In other words, whatever you want to get rid of!  These items will be used for the quilt show boutique and the Christmas party.  Please give thems items to Diane Holmes.

Guest Policy for Meetings:  Guests may attend one mtg. free of charge.  They then may be placed on the waiting list if interested in becoming a member.  While on the waiting list, they may then attend one meeting per year for a $4.00 guest fee.
